Check Out My AI ShadBot

Yes, I created a chatbot called ShadBot. Why? For a couple of reasons.

One, I wanted to learn more about how AI actually works, and since I'm a software engineer by trade, I figured building my own bot would help me understand it on a deeper level — not just how to use AI, but how to train it and get it to respond the way I want.

Two, I already have a lot of knowledge about bicycles, especially mountain bikes and BMX. So I figured, why not build a chatbot specific to bicycles — and more specifically, to what I know about them? After all, that's the same reason I started my YouTube channel years ago: to share what I know.

So what is ShadBot? It's an AI chatbot I've tailored to answer questions people might have about my channel, my riding experience, riding tips, and so on. It's in its infancy, so it's far from perfect. But I've played around with it quite a bit, and whenever I see it answer something in a way I don't love, I go in and tweak its prompts until it responds the way I want. I'm impressed with what it can do so far — but fair warning, it's not perfect. If you use it, please send feedback through the contact form in the top menu and let me know what you think. That feedback is what lets me keep improving it, and over time, I think it'll become a genuinely useful tool.
